Security Vitals
Last Updated: August 2026
At Hook Labs Media, the security of our clients' data, digital assets, and communications is our top priority. This Security Vitals page outlines the measures we take to ensure comprehensive data protection in compliance with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and India's Information Technology (Reasonable Security Practices and Procedures and Sensitive Personal Data or Information) Rules, 2011.
1. Data Encryption
All data transmitted between our servers and client devices is encrypted using industry-standard Transport Layer Security (TLS/SSL). We enforce strict at-rest encryption for all sensitive client deliverables, payment information, and personal data stored within our databases.
2. Access Control & Authentication
Access to client data and internal systems is strictly controlled using Role-Based Access Control (RBAC). Our team members are granted access strictly on a "least privilege" basis. We require Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA) for all administrative logins and critical service access.
3. GDPR & DPDP Act Readiness
Our systems are designed with "Privacy by Design" principles. We ensure that:
- We only collect data that is strictly necessary for our services.
- Client data is isolated and protected against unauthorized access.
- We maintain logs of data processing activities to ensure accountability.
- We have protocols in place for secure data deletion upon request (Right to Erasure).
4. Incident Response & Breach Notification
In the unlikely event of a data breach, we have a comprehensive Incident Response Plan in place. In compliance with GDPR and CERT-In (Indian Computer Emergency Response Team) guidelines, we commit to notifying affected users and relevant regulatory authorities within the mandated 72-hour window.
5. Third-Party Vendor Security
We conduct rigorous security assessments on all third-party vendors and tools we utilize (e.g., hosting providers, CRM software). We ensure that all vendors comply with GDPR and possess industry-standard security certifications (like SOC 2 or ISO 27001).
